Conveying the Meaning : Upon commencing this major body of work, it was always my intention to provide a visual understanding of the social imbalance within the UK in 2020. Exactly how this is achieved is possibly the aspect that I struggled most to answer, although I knew that by representing something that both holds a particular source of personal anguish and a broad scope, would provide greater opportunity for my voice to be predominant. Having attempted to convey my thoughts through the depiction of landscape, I know the limitations that can be lost in a message when searching too hard for the context to be displayed. I need to be comfortable with the information I am representing and the only way I know how to do this is to really care about the subject.
